Since I just joined City Daily Photo in October, I don't have many photos to pick from as best photo of 2008, so I chose this one taken of my daughter during the summer. It is my favorite photo of all those I have posted this year and was, in fact, the very first photo I posted to my blog. :)

Sherry, It IS such a wonderful image. The colors, composition (how DID you get those bubbles to cooperate with you?), and the close up of her about to surface all come together to form a perfect shot. Most memorable besides this for me was perhaps the shot of beautiful tree bark I saw on my first visit and an autumn scene looking down a lane.
Wishing you a wonderful 2009. My daughter is thinking of going to WSU next fall . . .it should be a year of adventure!

This is a beautiful photograph and not so easy to take. You got the whole thing perfectly.
Happy New Year to you and your family from Patty and Abe.
It is such an amazing image.
Happy New Year
I remember it! I think it's a marvelous choice.
My goodness this is a fantastic shot! I adore it.
What a great photo!

Good choice! And you have so many beautiful ones to choose from, too. I like the action capture and the movement. Good job.
Thank you for the wonderful compliments to this photo. I have no idea how I got the shot...one of those lucky right moment things! But when I saw it, I was thrilled. :)
Kim - WSU would be a good choice! I am posting photos of the campus this month on the blog, so you can both take a look. It is one of the prettiest university campuses I have visited. :)
As I was browsing through the CityDailyPhotos Theme day pics of the year, I found you. I live in Moscow, too! I've decided to post my favorite photo of the week on Saturdays during 2009.
Excellent photo. I'll look forward to visiting each day to see what pieces of home you capture.
FANTASTIC photo.
